  • 6 sheets Matzo
  • 4 Apples, peeled and sliced
  • 4 Eggs beaten
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 cup Raisins
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Instructions 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Break the matzo into small pieces and soak in water until soft. Drain excess water.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the matzo, apples, beaten eggs, sugar, cinnamon, raisins, and salt. Mix well.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the kugel is set.
  6. Let it cool slightly before serving.
