- 1 cup Sugar
- 3 tablespoon Cornstarch
- 1 cup Water
- 4 cups Fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1. In a saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch, and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and clear.
2. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice and vanilla extract. Let cool to room temperature.
3. Arrange strawberries in the pre-baked pie crust.
4. Pour the cooled mixture over the strawberries, making sure they are evenly coated.
5. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
