Instructions
1. In a mixing bowl, combine apples, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
2. Place the pie crust in the cast iron skillet.
3. Pour the apple mixture into the pie crust.
4. Dot the top with butter pieces.
5. Cover with another pie crust or make a lattice top.
6. Place the skillet over the campfire and cook for about 30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
7. Let cool slightly before serving.
