  • 6 slices Bread crusts removed
  • 4 cups Apples peeled, cored, and sliced
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • ¼ cup Butter melted

Instructions 

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with a bit of the melted butter.
  3. Line the bottom and sides of the dish with bread slices, overlapping slightly.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the apples, sugar, and cinnamon. Pour the mixture into the bread-lined dish.
  5. Cover the top with more bread slices, then pour the melted butter over the top.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the apples are tender.
  7. Let it cool slightly before serving.
